Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly is heading to Williamsburg, Kentucky, on Thursday, October 1, for our first-ever Sharon Wagner Adventure Day—a special outing honoring our beloved elderly friend, Sharon Wagner, whose adventurous spirit and love for vacations, outings, and exploring new experiences inspired us all.

After surveying our elderly friends, this year's adventure takes us to the Ark Encounter, home to a full-size replica of Noah's Ark built to biblical dimensions. We're looking for compassionate volunteers to help make this unforgettable experience possible for our elderly friends.

Transportation to and from the Ark Encounter will be provided by a charter bus.

Volunteer Schedule:

• 10:20 a.m. – Meet at the LBFE office to greet and assist elderly friends as they arrive.

• 10:30 a.m. – Depart for the Ark Encounter.

• 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Explore the Ark, enjoy lunch together, and create meaningful memories.

Throughout the day,

volunteers will:

• Drive elderly friends to and from the LBFE office.
• Provide companionship while exploring the Ark Encounter.
• Assist elderly friends in navigating the expansive exhibits.
• Help elderly friends at the lunch buffet.
• Support elderly friends using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
• Ensure every elderly friend is able to fully enjoy the experience.

The group will return to the LBFE office around 6:00 p.m., where volunteers will drive elderly friends home.

It's a full day of service, laughter, and connection—but it's also an opportunity to help an elderly friend experience something they may never have the chance to do on their own. Join us as we honor Sharon Wagner's legacy by continuing to create new adventures, lasting friendships, and joyful memories for the elderly friends we serve.
